Maggie Valley, NC:

So, I didn’t mention it much while I was on the trip because of how quick it was; but, I just got back from a real quick trip to visit a friend up in Maggie Valley. She’s into landscape photography as well and showed me around. Absolutely awesome area!

This was a stunning sunset that I got to watch my first night there. The colors were just great!

I miss it.

Jordan Pond- Acadia National Park:

This was a gorgeous night in Acadia. Absolutely gorgeous. I really wasn’t feeling the sky though. Normally I am all about interesting skies with clouds & color. But, this scene immediately called for this very contrasted look. And honestly, I love it.

Seriously, if you haven’t been to Acadia National Park, it’s time to start looking up tickets! It really is fantastic.

This was taken in Portland, ME which is actually several hours south of Acadia National Park on the coast (obviously).

We had rather bland weather every day we were there, so I made the call to run south and at least pick up some variety in the scenery since the weather was content with staying the same. It paid off! This was by far, the best sunset we had on the trip. It was gorgeous….

There was a little bit of climbing/hiking involved with getting this image which I absolutely love. I think it makes the memory of it all THAT much better knowing you had to work a little for it.

I have never seen so many photographers in one spot like there were at this park. But, when my friend and I decided to climb out on the rocks, they were pretty much empty! In fact, I think only 2 other photographers came out while we were there. Anyways, I think the angle really paid off.

I have this image as a normal crop as well, but there was something dynamic about a panoramic crop that I just couldn’t resist.

Like all my images, this is available for sale. Please let me know if you are even remotely interested.
