This time of year, I don't usually get the chance to do all that much landscape photography. It's not for lack of passion. In fact, I quite miss it. More, a lack of time. But, even in the busiest of moments, there comes a moment when you just need a breath of air. This was mine. Just to do something different, I drove on a saturday night down to the bradenton beach area and started scouting for an area to photograph the sunrise. In a long boring turn of events, I ended up in Boca Grande around midnight, but after watching the weather for a little bit, decided that things wouldn't be all that great for a sunset view. By the time I made it to Anna Maria Island, it was 3am and I was tired of driving! I spent the next three hours trying to catch some sleep in my car. (Not nearly as easy as it sounds) and managed to wake up with about 30 minutes to spare before this sunrise very first started to show! There's something about these moments… I'm not even quite sure what, but I love them.
